Look what's done and ready to go off to their new home! My sockapal2za socks are washed, and super super soft. I hope my pal likes them! I'm really excited to send them off, with a few little things to go along for the ride. The gritty details:
Yarn: Jaeger Matchmaker Merino 4Ply
Pattern: My own adaptation of the toe up socks at elann, short row heels, and a lace pattern I found in a stitch library. I've since seen a number of socks using the same lace pattern. I did the edges with a little bobble-y cast off since a plain one seemed too, well, plain. Here's a closeup of the lace pattern:
Now I'm off to finish....
wait for it........
you won't believe me when I tell you..........
The thing I threatened to leave at the bottom of the marination pile forever...
or even unravel...........
Indeed I am finishing the Clapotis. I decided it would be a good display item in the shop for my upcoming knitting class. Plus that incredible Mountain Colors yarn was taunting me from the bottom of the bin every time I looked in it's direction. damn that stuff is serious beautiful. serious.
They are so beautiful! The pattern, the color, everything. Great job! :)
