As health care workers we do have to see a lot of stuff that would just floor other people. There are days when we just can't handle it all. Everyone has bad days, everyone you work with understands.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. My condolences to you and your family.

I'm so sorry about your grandfather, I'm sending you a million good thoughts and hugs.

You are amazing at work, I know that is something I could never do. I would have been crying all day long for those patients. I think you are awesome.

Tim Who?

At one point early on I asked my RN husband (then head nurse at the state psychiatric hospital) Soooo, what did you do today?

He told me.

By the end of the recap I was in shock. He looked at me and stated. "May I assume this will be the last time you ask me that question?"

Yes you may.

I don't know how you people do it? But you have my undying gratitude.

Shannon

Oh, sweetheart! Sending you lots of strength and peace!

Oh my! When I worked at a previous job I read about some pretty awful stuff. But those people were pretty much paper or electronic files to me. Sometimes voices on the phone. That was bad enough. I can't really imagine doing what you're doing in person.

Sorry about your grandfather.

Kerri

This is the first time I've come across your blog, I really enjoyed reading this post. It was very well written and incredibly moving.

Sorry for the loss of your grandfather, I hope you're getting through it.
